    Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, Career One Stop is a comprehensive career exploration site providing visitors with the tools necessary to identify, compare and attain various careers. With tools ranging from skills assesments to salary finders, Career One Stop allows job seekers to tailor their experience, regardless of where they are in the process.   • Career Wise (Minnesota State)

    The Minnesota State system encompasses 30 colleges, 7 universities and thousands of students across the state. Career Wise is its free online tool that takes users on a path of self-assesment, goal-setting and career identification. Users do not need to be a part of the Minnesota State system to utilize the site's array of tools and resources. Services include: Career interest surveys, resumes, cover letters, negotiation, different categories of audiences

  • Clifton Strengths

    Gallup's CliftonStrengths online assessment measures your specific order of 34 themes of talent. Those themes are your talent DNA. The CliftonStrengths assessment uncovers which talents you rely on to build relationships, think strategically, execute plans and influence others to accomplish goals. This account-based, online service uses personality indicators and performance tests to help students match their preferred career trajectories with corresponding educational programs and higher education institutions.   • Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)

    The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development exists as the state's economic development agency, assisting both job seekers and businesses. Visit DEED's webiste for more information about hiring incentives, tax credits and other tools businesses can leverage to not only remain competitive in today's fast paced economy but thrive. Programs include: Promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development. Information on hiring incentives, tax credits, hiring foreign workers, people with disabilities and veterans.

  • MN Workforce Centers

    Feeling overwhelmed by the job search? The experts at the Minnesota Workforce Centers can help. Located in key locations around the state, these workforce centers provide expert assistance, quality computer access and essential office equipment needed to successfully execute a job search. In addition to providing job services, the workfoce centers also host career fairs and sponsor workshops that connect job seekers with appropriate employers throughout southeastern Minnesota.

    Adults with disabilities are an intergral part of our Southeastern Minnesota economy. Opportunity Services is a Rochester-based orgniazation that helps serve these adults by providing services ranging from helping to find openings to ongoing job support and coaching. Opportunity Services helps adults with disabilities with a range of job-related and community engagement services, including: finsing jobs, job application and interview help, on the job training, ongoing support and coaching.

  • Workforce Development, Inc.

    Workforce Development, Inc. exists to serve the needs of job seekers and employers throughout Southeast Minnesota. You are welcome to utilize its array of services, from career counseling and skills development, to hands-on computer classes and GED preparation as you search for work in our region.
